Tina Knowles-Lawson Responds to Rumors of her Lying during Beyonce' Acceptance Speech

Now, this is where we have to draw the line! Beyonce' fans and critics, nearly broke the internet with memes, comments and posts, the moment that her mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, said that Beyonce left the Awards show, so that she could make it to her concert that was in London, while accepting an award on Beyonce's behalf at the BET Awards. She then, hoped that she made it in time.

Ms. Knowles-Lawson:

"Wow, this is heavy. On behalf of my beautiful daughter, who is on a plane—she had to run straight from the stage and get on the plane and fly to London for a concert. Hopefully she'll make it in time, But that's how important this awards show was for her to show up."

Within moments, fans begin to search for the concert that the star was in and realized that the concert that Ms. Tina referenced was days later. Immediately we begin to see memes posted and fans commenting on the fact that the "Lemonade" star was not due to London until days later.

Beyonce', opened the BET Awards show, rocking out to her song, "Freedom" which features Kendrick Lamar. The performance was phenomenal and the star did in fact leave shortly after, which left mom to accept her awards. She did so beautifully. In a perfect world, we would be able to clap and move on, but, instead people began to tear the stars mother apart for giving out wrong information, saying that she was lying. Most would think that things would simmer down, however, the online posts must have became overwhelming for Mrs. Tina, as she took to instagram in response to all of the commotion.

Now, it is unfortunate that Ms. Tina even had to acknowledge what clearly was an error. But, hopefully, now that she has acknowledged and explained the oopsie, we all can move on. There is only so much that the Queen Bey herself will sit back and allow, before she responds. It's many things that you can mess with in people's lives, Family is NOT one.
