Hip Hop Artist Join with Local Business to help teach the Community about Health, Nutrition & U

It is always great when we speak on the change that is needed within our communities and it is even better when we put action to our words. TNG had the opportunity to stop by the free community event that is held on Saturday's at the Nu-Waters Co-Op location in Downtown Houston. Houston rappers, King Atom, Even and Kun Wun are a few of the artist that are apart of this awesome movement where they teach a group of individuals about health, nutrients. & cropping. When asked what the event is about, hip hop artist, Kun Wun, replies, "This event is about expressing Unity in our Community" and King Atom describes it as an event for the mind, body and soul.

This a very unique project, as what goes in our bodies is very important to our life cycle while here on earth. The Nu-Waters Co-Op successfully educate, crop and sell to Houston families and surrounding areas and individuals are able to purchase organic fruits and vegetables at their store location on Dowling St.

Monday thru Sunday the team works on the farm planting seeds to grow these fruits and vegetables with no chemicals and are sold to the community at an affordable price. The project is community funded and grown and everyone in the city is invited out every weekend from 3pm - 7pm at the corner of Downling, in the 3rd Water area at the NuWaters Co-Op location. At the event you are able to hear live music from local artists and pick up a purchase or two from one of the vendors supporting the event. With unity being a key obejective between the artists and organization, I can see the positive affects not only it will have within the Organization but more families will have the opportunity to learn about self cropping and healthy eating habits.
