Kendrick Lamar says, "I" was "The Best Song" he ever wrote

Kendrick Lamar flew all the way from the west coast to celebrate the announcement of the Summer Jam main stage and sits down at the HOT 97 studios. He spoke with Ebro in the Morning and was talking about the "new sound" that he brings on his album, "To Pimp a Butterfly".

He discussed how when the mention of the word "Classic" to a song, it takes away not only from his album but from other artists as well. "I feel you can say that for anybody", Kendrick tells the DJ's. This album goes outside of the normal, "Kendrick Lamar" as an artist. This album, he brought a different sound, his single, "I Love Myself", got dissed by some of his fans who weren't use to the different sound, but was looking for the "Good City bad Kid" artist.

Kendrick says, he is at a good point in his life, "I like all energies of music, you just gotta make sure to bring the balance". Wesley's Theory (Intro) is his favorite on the album as of now, even though it changes constantly. Kendrick hopes to bring a little more of him, what he grew up on. His love for music and wanting to change the people.

We love Kendrick and wishes him the best! Check out the interview here:
