Huge Betrayals in the family end the Season Finale of #Empire
Last night's finale had the internet in an uproar. Jamal gets Empire, Cookie finds out Lucious is the killer of her cousin & Lucious friend, Lucious is not sick anymore and the ENTIRE family is joining up to plan a hostile take over of the label that both Cookie and Lucioous worked so hard for, "Empire".
As we all expected, once Lucious found out about Cookie running away with his Top Security, Malcom, played by, the oh so handsome, Derek Luke, he immediately fired her and Malcolm from Empire, which as we all know did not sit over too well with Cookie.
Hakeem ends up turning on Lucious, teaming up with Aniko, and when I say "teaming up", lets just say they forgot their clothing on this one. Although he wants to stay Empire, he still wants revenge for the "pain" his dad caused.
Jamal attempts to help get Cookie's job back by not only helping Lucious record a new song but he also received the masters agreement for Lucious old recordings that was being held by opposition. Jamal's hard work and go getting attitude for Empire must have gotten Luscious attention.
Once, Lucious found out that he was misdiagnosed and he is actually surviving, he unknowingly admitted to mudering Cookies cousin and his friend Bunky, while in a deep sleep on his medication. When hearing Lucious confess, Cookie, being who she is, went to smother him with a pillow until he grabbed her in his sleep scaring her off.
The next day he gave gifts to all asking for forgiveness and also gives "successor of Empire" to Jamal, even though he is not dying. Instead of bringing the brothers closer, surprisingly it caused them to get even more aggresively angry and began forming a "hostile takeover" led by Aniko.
There were so many twist and turns in the show, that everything is not listed. Catch it on your DVR!!!! It's a show you dont want to miss! I cant wait til next season!
